Here’s a comparison of the Met Council’s required minimum density for Edina under Thrive 2040 versus the new Imagine 2050 plan. You can find this data in the Land Use sections of both plans.

France Ave will experience a significant increase in required density. With the shift from high-frequency bus service to a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line and higher requirements under Imagine 2050, minimum density requirements near BRT stations will rise sharply from 10 to 25 units per acre. The map below illustrates a quarter-mile radius around the station at 58th Street and France Ave.
