Mayor's proposed amendments to Tree Protection Ordinance

On the agenda for the Feb 18 CC work session is the Tree Protection Ordinance. Mayor Hovland's proposed amendments add over 850 words to an ordinance that is already wordy and hard to understand. While the intent to update the ordinance is appreciated, I believe this approach might complicate matters further. Instead of merely expanding on the existing framework, I would advocate for a comprehensive simplification of the entire ordinance to enhance clarity and usability.
